Free and open source

This interpreter is based on fclabs/web-python, released under the Apache License 2.0. Anyone may use it, share it, teach with it, modify it and host their own copy, for free, with no permission needed.

Hulkenstein Study’s changes are small: an English starter program and page, our tab icon, security headers, and 404, robots and sitemap files. The interpreter itself is unchanged.

To host your own copy, clone the repository, run npm ci && npm run build, and serve dist/ with the Cross-Origin-Opener-Policy and Cross-Origin-Embedder-Policy headers set (see public/_headers in the repository).

It bundles Pyodide (MPL-2.0), Ruff (MIT) and CodeMirror (MIT). See third-party notices and NOTICE.
